On this page, we will upload information on grassroots-led movements focused on the transformation and resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. These will come from various sources, ideologies and faiths, and may be promoted on our Platform as long as they engage in respectful, inclusive dialogue with the aim of enhancing learning, understanding and tolerance.
“Roots is an initiative led by a joint Palestinian and Israeli committee based in the West Bank. We work within our own communities at the heart of the conflict; shifting hatred and suspicion towards trust, empathy, and mutual support. Through our projects and workshops we endeavour to lay the groundwork for a reality in which future agreements between our governments can be built. In just two and a half years of rapid growth our work has reached nearly 18,000 people”.
“Musalaha is a non-profit organization that promotes and facilitates reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, based on the life and teaching of Jesus”.
- Holy Land Trust
“Through a commitment to the principles of nonviolence, Holy Land Trust aspires to strengthen and empower the peoples of the Holy Land to engage in spiritual, pragmatic and strategic paths that will end all forms of oppression. We create the space for the healing of the historic wounds in order to transform communities and build a future that makes the Holy Land a global model for understanding, respect, justice, equality and peace”.
- Abrahamic Reunion
“The Abrahamic Reunion is a network of religious and spiritual leaders – Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze, both men and women – working for peace”.
- Two States One Homeland
“We, a group of Israelis and Palestinians, propose here a new horizon for reconciliation between the two peoples, based on the establishment of two sovereign states in one, open, land. Eretz Israel / Palestine is a shared homeland for two peoples – the Jews and the Palestinians, and both peoples are attached to the land by profound historical, religious and cultural ties. All those who live in this shared homeland have equal rights to a life of liberty, equality and dignity, rights that must be guaranteed in any future settlement.”
- Combatants for Peace
“We are a group of Palestinians and Israelis who have taken an active part in the cycle of violence in our region: Israeli soldiers serving in the IDF and Palestinians as combatants fighting to free their country, Palestine, from the Israeli occupation. We – serving our peoples, raised weapons which we aimed at each other and saw each other only through gun sights – have established Combatants for Peace on the basis of non-violence principles”.
- Federation of Israel Palestine
“The Federation of Israel Palestine defends the right of self-determination of both peoples – Palestinian Arab and Israeli Jewish – on the same, undivided, Land”.
